Become the CEO of your Health

Hi, I’m Denise.

As I sit with my morning coffee, I have to ask myself. “How did I make it to 50?”, “Do I really have a lot to say?” “Who wants to read my perspectives???”

Patients in my massage and osteopathic practice love picking my brain, hearing my stories, and learning what it took to make it here today.

“You are so resilient, and strong” they said. I simply replied that I had just done what I had to. Taking one day at a time. It wasn’t that I got through because I was strong, I’m strong because I got through.

From the time I was a little girl, I had to rely on my intuition to keep me alive. It was all I knew. But it wasn’t until my out-of-body near-death experience that the pieces of my life’s puzzle came together.

I love science, I love to learn about everything in the universe, healing, the human body, how it works, what makes it quirk. The world inside our body’s 50 trillion cells is fascinating as the trillions of stars in the universe. The connection between them is what I was truly drawn to.

What happens when you nearly die a dozen times, defy doctors while depending on their help, heal yourself of childhood crohn’s disease, only to be diagnosed with breast cancer, not once, twice?

You fight, don’t give up, never stop learning about yourself…and you find a way to trust your intuition.

Can learning help your emotional pain?

Can learning help your emotional pain?

Emotional pain can be hard to transmute, but what if learning something new could help? Engaging in new challenges stimulates your brain, releasing neurotransmitters that boost mood, focus, and motivation.

Learning as an adult can be difficult, but passion and necessity make it easier. Embracing mistakes and staying curious creates fresh neural pathways that can shift your emotional state.

If you feel stuck, start learning. Growth through learning isn’t just about knowledge—it’s about healing, success, and personal achievement. What’s something you’ve always wanted to learn? It might be the key to feeling better.

Chapter 1, Why do I need to heal? Denise’s short story

Chapter 1: The Breaking Point

"I thought I knew pain. Eight surgeries, years of hospitals, Crohn’s, cancer—I had survived it all. But this? This was different.

Ten hours on the operating table. My chest sewn back together. The kind of pain that steals your breath. And this time, I was alone.

Hadn’t I suffered enough? I asked God.

The moment I had that thought—I was gone.

Then, a single thought—*I wonder what’s over there..

Everything changed.

Chapter 3, Who can sit still to meditate?

"Stillness was a joke. Every time I tried, the pain screamed louder. If someone told me to ‘just meditate’ one more time, I was going to punch them.

Then, one night, an image popped into my mind—a three-year-old girl

She was alone.

I said, ‘Hello, Denise. I’m Adel.’

She looked up, wide-eyed. ‘Auntie Del?’

She smiled.

And just like that, I had found my way in.”

Chapter 4, Me Myself and Denise

"Children don’t need words to know when something is off. They feel it. They absorb it. And when they don’t feel safe, their nervous system locks them into protection mode.

I kept showing up for Little Denise. And over time, she trusted me.

Then one day, while out on a walk, I heard a voice.

 ‘Hey, Denise.’

 It wasn’t Little Denise.

It was Future Me.
